Farm Frites is expanding its global position in the food service market. To help realize our ambitious growth ambitions, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager APAC.

 

Your role

The business of the Asia Pacific (APAC) territory represents a growing part of Farm Frites volume. With a focus on Asia, the role of Business Development Manager is pivotal for our future market position. The BDM translates data into commercial opportunities and lead or support various, ongoing projects that bring the APAC sales organization and end-user approach to the next level. Projects are around Commercial Excellence, Market Intelligence, Digital and Customer/Sales Support and should ultimately develop the APAC Commercial Organization to a High Performing Team and a FoodService Brand which is valued by its customers over that of competitors.

As this is a new role, we are looking for a candidate that can independently shape the role support the sales teams in the development and execution to the go-to-market strategy.

Driving Commercial Excellence, building Customer Centricity (50%);

  • Implement and safeguard SalesForce as CRM Tool and its usage (including feedback and training of users within APAC region)
  • Implement and safeguard customer classification, lead generation initiatives and execution, and campaign management.
  • Implement and improve national and regional chained operator approach APAC.
  • Implement and improve Joint Business Planning formats, including Distributor / Account Plans 
  • Assures that the APAC team is commercially well trained. Oversees the onboarding process and commercial training programs when it comes to Commercial Excellence / Sales Force / Value Selling & Story Telling / Digital / Sustainability.

Market Intelligence (25%)

  • Monitors the Business Intelligence we have available, screens the relevant data and assures its commercial use. Where possible sales data should support customer centricity and the sales stories we build / need.
  • Reviews potential PMC’s, comes with Sales Suggestions and works with TM and TQM on the development of concrete Business Propositions to support sales.
  • Monitors competitors pricing, FF price positioning and its value chain. Comes with recommendations including the implementation of PME. 

Portfolio Management (15%)

  • Analyses competition portfolio, develops in close cooperation with sales Business Cases for Product Management (PMR), follows and reports on progress. Monitors Intros s and EOL’s.

 Social Media, Digital Roadmap & Execution – Supporting Role (5%)

  • Identifies needs & improvement areas for the digital roadmap for APAC. Comes in cooperation with TM and Digital with recommendations and supports local implementation. 
  • Stays up-to-date with digital marketing trends and emerging platforms to continuously improve online presence.

Development Customer Support function (5%)

  • Identifies needs for APAC for Customer Support incl. its Supporting Systems. Implements and safeguard Customer Support set-up for APAC in close cooperation with the Global Manager Customer Service. 

 

Your team

You will be part of our lead sales team and will report to the Sales Director APAC. You closely work together with APAC Area / Country Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, Trade & Product Marketing Team, Commercial Finance and Customer Service / Supply Chain in a pleasant, welcoming and truly international environment.

 

Education and skills

  • At least 5-10 years experience in Marketing, Sales and/or Business Development in a highly customer centric organization.  
    • Proven experience of working effectively in a CRM process-driven platform (e.g. Salesforce) and being at ease with operating in a dynamic international environment.
    • Has affection and knowledge of foodservice and food distribution. Knows the (key) end-user market and knows what drives customers. 
      • Customer-facing experience in solution selling based upon market understanding.
      • Willingness to travel.

      • Highly structured individual with good analytical skills given the detailed way of working in CRM database tooling (e.g. SalesForce)
      • Digital savvy and eager to learn with an ability to shape the future by influencing external and internal stakeholders.
      • Consultative selling techniques (closing sales), ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
