I am Annelien Dewelde
Hi, I’m Annelien Dewelde, 24 years old, and I’ve been working at Farm Frites Lommel for 1.5 years in the Research & Development (R&D) department. In my free time, I love walking my dog, reading, going to the gym, and baking.
How did you start working at Farm Frites?
During my studies, I visited Farm Frites Lommel for a company tour, which left a great impression on me. When I saw the job opening for an R&D employee, I didn’t hesitate and applied right away. I have never regretted it!
How would you describe your job?
I would describe my job as varied and challenging. Every week brings new projects and questions to explore. I love the variety and the chance to keep learning. No two days are the same, and I get to grow along with the company.
How has Farm Frites helped you grow and develop?
In the R&D department, I focus on packaging. I didn’t have much experience in this area from my studies, so Farm Frites gave me the opportunity to take a course. It was very useful, and I still apply what I learned every day. I’ve also grown by learning to take a critical approach when testing our products.
What do you enjoy about working at Farm Frites?
The best thing about working at Farm Frites is the colleagues! I can always count on them if I need help, and everyone is up for a friendly chat, whether I’m in the office or on the production floor. I’ve also grown a lot, both personally and professionally, since joining Farm Frites.
How would you describe the people, atmosphere, and culture at Farm Frites?
My colleagues are passionate about their work and highly driven—that’s what stands out the most.
