I am Emre Yildirim
Hi, I’m Emre Yildirim, 30 years old and recently married. My wife and I are expecting our first daughter soon! I’ve been working at Farm Frites Lommel for 10 years in various roles. Right now, I’m a Team Leader in Production (OPU4, Shift B). In my free time, I enjoy gaming and traveling with my wife.
How did you start working at Farm Frites?
Who doesn’t know Farm Frites? My father worked here in the ‘90s, so I was already familiar with the company. I started as a temporary worker without knowing exactly what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to work. After finishing my studies, I joined Farm Frites right away – and I enjoyed it so much that I never left!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
As a Team Leader, I have responsibilities toward my colleagues, my Shift Leader, and the OPU Manager. That motivates me to give my best performance every day!
What does your ideal workday look like?
A perfect workday is when everyone is in a good mood and working with a smile (which is almost always the case 😉). And of course, hitting our budget and meeting our key performance indicators (KPIs).
How has Farm Frites helped you grow and develop?
Farm Frites always gives you opportunities to grow, both personally and professionally. I started as an Operator and worked my way up through different roles, including Purée Operator, Quality Controller, Deputy Team Leader, and Multifunctional Worker. Eventually, I became a Team Leader. My goal is to continue growing, maybe into a Shift Leader role or even OPU Manager one day.
Farm Frites has also helped me grow personally. I used to be quite shy, but now I’m much more open and social.
What do you enjoy about working at Farm Frites?
Every day is different, which keeps my job interesting. I also love showing people what we produce – they’re always fascinated, and that makes me proud.
How would you describe the people, atmosphere, and culture at Farm Frites?
We’re like one big family. Everyone helps each other.
What’s your favorite Farm Frites memory?
The team activities outside of work and the Christmas party – those events bring us even closer together every year.
What would you say to someone thinking about applying to Farm Frites?
I definitely recommend it! It doesn’t feel like work – it feels more like a hobby. And there are plenty of opportunities to grow.
