National Wholesale Manager UK & Ireland

Farm Frites is continuously working to expand its global position in the food service market. To help realise our growth ambitions, we are seeking an experienced and motivated National Wholesale Manager UK & Ireland. 

Your role

To realise commercial objectives (turnover, profit, market share) for the Wholesale team in the UK & Ireland by helping develop and execute the sales and marketing strategy for Farm Frites, you will:

  • Leading the national sales team to meet the sales targets.
  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies - either in collaboration with the Country Manager or independently.
  • Handling - customer driven - negotiations and preparing offers, based on profitability and pricing guidelines and finalise contracts after consultation with the Country Manager.
  • Establishing partnerships at designated wholesalers, for recurring sales.
  • Maintaining and using (local) networks, trade fairs, and presentations to generate and perpetuate business.
  • Ensuring that business relations actively promote Farm Frites products to their customers, increasing brand awareness. 
  • Preparing account plans and collaboration with Commercial Finance to develop pricing strategies.

Your team

The role is part of the Sales Department. The National Wholesale Manager reports to the Country Manager UK & Ireland and works closely together with him/her, as well as with our colleagues at Sales, Marketing, Quality, Commercial Finance, Customer Service and Demand Planning to align activities and execute agreements effectively. 

To be successful in this role you have:

  • A higher education preferably in business or a similar course of study.
  • Proven work experience in a National sales role, selling into independent wholesalers, including groups such as Sterling, Country Range, Fairway & Caterforce members.
  • Experience managing a sales team.
  • Experienced with CRM software and Microsoft applications.
  • The ability to understand and analyze sales performance reports.
  • A strong customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and team management abilities.
  • Analytical skills combined with a problem-solving mindset.
  • A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing account strategies.
  • Experience working with international, multicultural teams (advantage).

Furthermore you are:

  • A self-starter with entrepreneurial skills, and the ability to get things done and analytical with the capability to turn a strategy into action.
  • A strong negotiator, with influencing and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft.
  • Reliable, consistent and detail-oriented.
  • Extremely commercially driven, pragmatic and results-oriented.
  • A true team player;
  • Passionate about food.
